Chinatown Harajuku no Yoko

Chinatown is the place for Harajuku Photo by Fotoplay Chinatown is the place for Harajuku

Chinatown is set to get a splash of colour… anime, cosplay, Harajuku fashion and music will light up Moonta Street once a month on Friday nights. It all kicks off FRIDAY 20th APRIL 2012 from 6pm-8pm. Register your interest by going to the Facebook Event Page.

In what will become a regular monthly event, Chinatown is welcoming Adelaide’s Anime and Cosplay community to enjoy the vibe and atmosphere of Chinatown. In return Chinatown will be infused with colour, music and fashion!

Moonta Street will be taking inspiration from Takeshita Dori, Harajuku. With entertainment provided from DJ’s, Japanese fashion stalls, lovely food, and of course shopping from both Chinatown and some of Adelaide’s most talented fashion designers such as Vitae Clothing, Sugar Kiss Party, Zombie Cupcake Couture, Hime Kitty Creations, Bubble Pop and more! Plus Neko Nation and Tokyo Hardcore will have stalls and entertainment too!

All are encouraged to come to this free event especially with cosplay or Harajuku inspired fashion as prizes will be given and plenty of photo taking opportunities will be available as Chinatown lights up in the evenings. This is what we hope will be the first of many fun nights to take place every month!

We welcome people to register interest for a stall. Please note due to interest we may not be able toaccommodateeveryone however there will be more opportunities in the future.
