Popular trends in Asia tend to bypass Australia despite their geographic proximity. Fashion trends for fur, or pink hair travel across the sea from Europe within a year, but distinct Asian hairstyles and bean-based desserts aren’t a mainstream here. Cultural and artistic exchange has allowed us to form deeper people-to-people connections. These are what underpin a future where our existing interests can diversify and expand beyond their already sturdy foundations.
