The Chinatown Adelaide of South Australia (CASA) Lunar New Year Street Party on Moonta Street and Gouger Street will be held on 4th February 2017!
Moonta and Gouger Street will be filled with stalls, exhibitions, and entertainments from various cultural groups, showcasing Asian cultures and traditions of arts, crafts and foods.
This year, CASA anticipate that over 20,000 people from all walks of life from all over South Australia and beyond will be expected to attend the Street Party.
The 2017 CASA Lunar New Year Street Party presents an exhilarating program of multicultural performances across dance, music, fitness demos, martial arts, and the ultimate crowd pleaser: Fire Crackers and Lion Dance.
20 Lions performing lion dances for Lunar New Year
The powerful Chung Yee Tong Lion Dance Troupe, Trinity College Lion Dance Troupe and Interschool Lion Dance Troupe Alliance, will kick off the party with an unforgettable lion dance performance. Featuring more than 20 Lions this year; will be SAâ€™s biggest roving lion dance ever, together with Lunar New Year celebration firecracker spectacular to welcome the year of Rooster
The wow factor of the 2017 CASA LNY Street Party stage program this year includes WingChun demonstration by SA Wingchun Martial Arts Union, Martial Art Dragon Sword by Chinaâ€™s national top grade Taichi Master Peng, Wushu demonstration by OzChina Movement and Cultural Communication Center, The Art and Legacy of Bruce Lee by Jeet Kune Do Academy, Taekwondo demonstration by Lee’s Taekwondo Academy will all be featured on stage fighting for your attention.
